My GD/PI was scheduled on 21st March 9AM. I reached the campus at 8AM. I was the first one to be in the campus. Well, the process started at 9AM. In the room where we were sat there was a board where the selection criteria was written:
CAT Score:50%
Work Experience 5%
Academics: 15%
GD: 5% (Post GD, themajor points had to be written down: 10%), so total 15%
PI: 10%
Panel Discretion: 5%
Our document verification was over in about 30 minutes. After that our group was sent for the GD. There was 16 members in my group. It was the general trend with every group. The GD went on for 7-8 minutes. There was complete fish market. Afterwards we heard that it was the case with every group. Then each of us was asked to conclude for approx 1 min. Then we wrote the GD summary in another 1 minute.
My Turn for PI came after 2.5 hrs. The panel had 2 male and 2 female members. They asked me general questions like, why MBA, My Goal, why IMT, Why not a career in animation, tehnology, other animation softwares.
The PI went for only 10 minutes. Then we were free to go home.
I made it to the first list for IMT. But I didn't join it.
All the best.

My NITIE GD/PI Experience
My GD/PI was scheduled on 21st March in NITIE, Mumbai. It was the last day of the 4 day process at NITIE. I reached the camus a day before as the GD/PI were scheduled from 9 AM pn 21st. We were told that the GD/PI can run uptill 7PM. The time I entered the campus, it was a different feeling altogether. It was a different world. Everything was amazing and soothing in NITIE. There was lots of greenery around. I had never expected the institute to have been built on a hill. The NITIE pond was amazing and the vihar lake on the other side looked spectacular. I reached the hostel and I was alloted the room in the new hostel. The charges were nominal Rs 100 per day for room and Rs 50 per day for bedding. Well the room was good. There was attached toilet with every room, which was great for a hostel. To add on, the food was great too in th mess. So, all in all a great feeling to be in the campus.
The next day the process started at 9 AM with some presentations over NITIE, the courses it offeres, placement facts for the current year etc. It went on for around 40 minutes. The IMPACT team was managing the whole process. There skills and co-ordinated efforts were praised by one and all. There were different GD panels for IM, ITM and ISEM. My group was the 1st. We were given the topic "Security of BPO employees is the responsibility of the president of the company or not". I made a decent start to the dicussion. The GD went for around 15-20 minutes. There were 7 people in my group. Everyone had fair amount of time to put his/her views forward.
After the GD was over we were made to wait in the audi. A movie was played in the audi for us by team IMPACT. I didn't had to wait much as my interview started soon. there were 6 members in the panel. Some of the questions asked from me were:
What is the difference between an Engineer and a doctor?
Answered but a little long answer.
Can u be prescise?
Yes, but again the same reply.
(it really made me nervous as it was the first question pf PI).
Why NITIE and not SP Jain?
answered
No, no be precise...
answered again.
Don't you think ROI is better in NITIE?
Yes, (I added some humour, everyone in the panel liked it. I felt better).
Your hobbies?
Some questions on animation.
Your Goal?
That was all. I may have missed some questions.
The result came out and I was 7th on the Wait List.
It got cleared. This time only 1 ISP candidate was there so 4 other seats were offerd to general category.

My SPJIMR GI (Group Interview) Experience
My GI was scheduled on 4th April 2009 in New Delhi. The centre was IIFT.
I reached there 30 miutes prior to the scheduled time. The process started at 9:00 AM. There were 3-4 SP Jain students present. They first collected the 5 distinct facts sheet from us and said that 1st round will be starting soon.
I was in the second group to be interviewed that day. The 1st round began. There were 3 members in the panel. 1 female (she was the one puting more quesstions), 2 male (they were reasonably quiet or atleast very polite). They asked us to introduce ourselves in 2 minutes. By the way there were 6 members in my group. I introduced myself pretty well. My major stress was on the achievements and how my academics and hobies justify my selection of the course (information management). Then they gave us a GD topic (don't remember but it was something like nudity in advertising spoiling society: faily general). we discussed for 10 minutes and then each one was asked to cnclude for 30 seconds. After that 1-2 gereral questions about our profile. For me: What are the animation studios in India (Animation is my hobby). Tat was all, we left the room. I cleared the first round (3 others cleared).
the SPJIMR students then asked us to submit the photocopy of marksheets. In the mail they had asked us to bring the profile sheet also but they didn't ask that from me.
Well then the second round started. there were 2 panelists. 1 sounth indian professor(quite aged) and 1 lady. The south Indian was more vocal. He seemed more insightful also. He asked us some opinionated questions. There were no questions on GK or current affairs. Some questions were What are the qualities of a good manager, would you support euthanasia etc. The interview was over in 15-20 minutes and we were free to go home.
I converted this call. I was in the wait list for IM.
